Animal Writes - Episode 253 Grace Helmer - Van Gogh's Dog
Joining me for this episode is master illustrator Grace Helmer. We have a chat about her latest illustrated children’s book, Van Gogh’s Dog. A fun story of a scrappy street dog named Sunny, who unexpectedly inspires Vincent van Gogh to create some of his greatest masterpieces. We chat about Grace’s beautiful illustrations in the book, drawing from Van Gogh’s art and creating beautiful oil on canvas that is shown throughout the book. We also have a chat about providing illustrations for major corporations (Google) compared to creating a children’s book. Have a listen to this wonderful chat with a master of illustrations. Enjoy!
