How badges and trophies are earned
Honors show up on brand and venue pages when the facts behind them are true. They're given out automatically from the schedule and from what owners confirm with us. None of them can be bought, and most lapse on their own when they stop being true.
Trophies
Trophies mark something a business built, and some never expire.
The first business in its city to complete a full showcase: facts confirmed by the owner, a Minty Press story built from the owner's own words, and a weekly schedule with every night credited to a named host. One per city, and it never expires.
A venue whose owner confirmed its weekly lineup, and whose weekly schedule credits three or more different named performers, hosts or partners, each with their own page here. Every one of them gets discovered through this venue.
Badges
Badges describe what's true right now.
The owner, or the person who runs it, confirmed the facts on this page directly with us by email or message.
The owner or host confirmed or updated the schedule within the last 30 days. It lapses on its own after 30 days without an update, so it always means the schedule is current.
Every weekly karaoke, DJ, music, bingo, trivia, comedy or open-mic night at this venue is credited to a named host or performer with their own page here (at least two nights).
Featured in a Minty Press article built from the owner's own answers, with the facts confirmed by the owner.
In business for 25 years or more, based on a founding year confirmed by the owner or a public record.
Plays or hosts a regular night at a venue whose owner confirmed the schedule directly with us.
Has held the same weekly night at one venue for three months or more, based on how long the night has been listed here or the start date the venue gave us.
Hosts or plays regular weekly nights at three or more different venues listed here.
